Attorney Martin-Franks is a Northampton County native.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010.  After graduation, Attorney Martin-Franks served as an officer in the United States Navy stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola.

Attorney Martin-Franks received his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the North Carolina Central University Turner School of Law in 2017.
